Exterior

The all-new 2021 Elantra makes an impressive entrance. Redesigned with bold styling cues it's lower and wider, with a lower more aggressive stance, the fully reimagined Elantra sets a new standard for sportiness in compact sedans. In fact, it's been pushed out to be 2.2 inches longer and 1 inch wider making it the largest sedan in the compact sedan segment. With a more rakish overall shape, aggressively angular sides, and modern-looking headlights and taillights, the new Elantra looks like another class of vehicle entirely.

Interior

Like its dramatically restyled exterior counterpart, the cabin of the 2021 Elantra receives a bold new facelift. The center console and dashboard can be upgraded into two huge 10.25-inch screens under a single continuous piece of glass. One screen is a digital gauge cluster in front of the driver and the other is an infotainment touchscreen in the center stack. The rear leg room has been increased to 38 inches giving you more room in the back than either the Civic (37.4) or Corolla (34.8). The Elantra's interior offers driver-selectable mood lighting with 64 color choices. Other digital delights include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which allow drivers to leave their phones in their purse or pocket, a unique capability outside of the luxury-car space. The 2021 Elantra's onboard voice recognition system allows you to use your voice to control the cabin temperature, fan settings, defroster, heated seats, heated steering wheel, roll down your windows, pop the trunk and other functions.

Performance

The all-new Elantra puts power and agility front and center with its 2.0-liter inline-four engine showcasing 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission. The new Elantra hybrid pairs a 1.6-liter inline-four gas engine with a 43-horsepower electric motor for a combined 139 horsepower mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and getting over 50 mpg.

Safety

The all-new 2021 Hyundai Elantra comes with several driver-assistance features standard including forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beams.
